Free visit or audioguide. Charroux has a beautiful church of the twelfth century, carved facades of the fifteenth and eighteenth and a circular plan due to its past strong city. Became frank in 1245, Charroux counted a bourgeois population of rich merchants and intellectuals. The names of the streets evoke the active life of the time while the visit reveals the gate of the East, the door of the Clock and its belfry (13th-14th centuries), the hall of the nineteenth and the oldest house of the village, the fourteenth.
