From stilettos to wellies!

Hilary Dingwall-Fordyce

Born in Calcutta, living a priviledged colonial life in Chittagong, with the inevitable boarding school in Edinburgh - moving on to become a generalist marketer and business development professional in the most beautiful cities in the world - Edinburgh, Paris, Nice, Cape Town.
I have now taken up residence in a tiny village in deep countryside in the Allier, a department of Auvergne, France.
Bien evidemment the stilettos mostly remain in the cupboard these days but I am enjoying the rythm of country life.

There are many benefits to living in the centre of this beautiful country and there is much to discover in Auvergne, a region largely untouched by the high prices one finds in other areas - and yet this region has been voted 3rd in France from the point of view of quality of life and value for money.

And so, as the raison d'être of Selection du Terroir is to share with you this special region's best-kept secrets, discoveries, experiences, properties and produce that can enhance your quality of life permanently or while on holiday, I could'nt be better positioned than right here in Saint Priest-en-Murat.
